The life and times of fashion's last true couturier, focused on the dramatic closing act of Valentino's amazing career. At the heart of the film is the endearing relationship between Valentino and his business partner and companion of 50 years, Giancarlo Giammetti.

Director Matt Tyrnauer has been an editor and writer at Vanity Fair magazine for the past sixteen years, after starting out at Spy magazine and then following Graydon Carter first to the New York Observer. His interest in film dates from his attendance at the Crossroads School in Los Angeles, one of the first secondary schools in the country to include serious film studies. He continued his film studies at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. He lives in New York City
